I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.
— Romans 12:1

I consider late 2003 as the moment my life began. Around that time God opened my eyes to the awful nature of my sin and the beauty of the Gospel. Life has never been the same since. I am a debtor to mercy, big time.

I love writing because it allows me to get my thoughts to paper, to understand what God is teaching me, and because I love the beauty of a well-crafted sentence.

I’ve written three books: The Accidental Feminist: Restoring Our Delight in God's Good Design, Glory in the Ordinary: Why Your Work in the Home Matters to God, and Teach Me to Feel: Worshiping Through the Psalms in Every Season of Life. In my free time (what's that?), I enjoy running, reading, cooking, and hanging out with my husband.

The thoughts on this site are a little glimpse into my life and head. I'm glad you stopped by.

So do not seek to hide from it. Do not accept an easy way. Do not allow yourself to be patted to sleep in a comfortable church, void of power and barren of fruit. Do not paint the cross nor deck it with flowers. Take it for what it is, as it is, and you will find it the rugged way to death and life. Let it slay you utterly.
